Profile of Salihin Samsudin: Aspiring Public Policy Expert and Researcher

Salihin Samsudin is currently pursuing a degree in Public Policy & Global Affairs with Economics and Entrepreneurship at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Concurrently, he is also a researcher in the university’s prestigious Undergraduate Research Experience on Campus (URECA) programme. His research areas include international law, foreign policy, diplomacy, politics, and the international political economy.

Salihin is deeply passionate about governance, policymaking, and addressing complex issues that shape national, regional, and global policies in various fields such as economics, development, politics, and international affairs.

Salihin’s dedication to policymaking and governance has been recognized through his achievement as the first-place winner in the Singapore Model Parliament 2022, where he demonstrated his skills by writing policy papers and engaging in debates on key national issues, including income and education equality, social integration of foreigners and new citizens, and intergenerational inclusivity.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Salihin has gained extensive experience in higher education management and policy, having worked for renowned educational institutions such as Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Institute of Technology, and INSEAD Business School.
