Singapore still a long way to go. For retail financing , there is a lack of demand and the market is too small for the banks to be serious on expanding its product mix.

For commercial financing and banking, there needs to be a large company and motivation by say at the sovereign level for it to grow. At the moment I do not see the motivation especially commercially to drive it forward.
